Our family planned this trip one year ago.We researched our Ports of Call just before the cruise so we would be familiar with what to expect along the way. Unfortunately we didn't dock at several of the cities we were hoping to see and no announcement was made of reasons given for the changes in the itinerary. The weather was perfect for the whole voyage so it's still a mystery.


The cruise was full so service was a bit slow. The food was nourishing.

The staterooms were very small and ours had no bedside reading lamps. One was eventually furnished to us but had to have a long extension cord across the doorway to the balcony. Unsafe! Our shower had a large crack exposing insulation. The walls between rooms are quite thin so we got to know our neighbors habits pretty well.

The onboard entertainers were good. We could have used a bit more local flavor.

Try to find out ahead of time if excursions will involve a 1.5 to 2 hour bus ride each way. That much time on a bus kept me from participating in several trips. The extra costs for tours was not announced before we began the cruise.

It was a wonderful time spent with family. The Jet Boat tour of Hell's Canyon was great fun!
