HELLO CRUISERS I AM BACK WITH ANOTHER DREAM REVIEW I DID THE EASTERN EVEN THOUGH MY FIRST REVIEW SAID EASTERN IT WAS ACTUALLY A EXOTIC WESTERN CARIBBEAN.IT HAS BEEN JUST OVER A MONTH SINCE MY LAST CRUISE ON THE DREAM SO HERE IS A FOLLOW UP, EMBARKING WAS JUST A SMOOTH AS BEFORE TAKING LESS THAN 30 MINUTES AT 1:00 IN THE AFTERNOON (USUALLY PEAK BOARDING) ONCE ABOARD NOTICED THE CREW SEEMED IN BETTER SPIRITS AND MORE ORGANIZED (THOUGH IN TALKING TO SOME OF THEM THEY SEEMED TO BE OVERWHELMED STILL WITH SIZE OF SHIP AND NOT HAPPY WITH IT )ON THIS CRUISE HAD JOHN HEALD AS A CRUISE DIRECTOR AN AWESOME PERSON TO HAVE SEEN FOR THE FIRST TIME HE'S FUNNY AND CAN IMPROVISE ON THE FLY THOUGH SOME PEOPLE TOLD ME THAT IS THE SAME MATERIAL HE HAS USED BEFORE BUT I LIKED IT

I WAS IN THE CRIMSON DINING ROOM FOR THIS ONE (SCARLET ON THE OTHER) AT THE LAST TABLE AT REAR WHICH IS FINE IF U GET THERE EARLY BUT IF YOU ARE RUNNING LATE YOU HAVE TO MANEUVER THE TABLES WHICH THERE IS NO CLEAR PATH SO YOU FIND YOURSELF BUMPING INTO SEATED PATRONS AND WAITERS ESPECIALLY ON THE EARLY 6:00 DINING THEN IF THEY ARE LATE WITH FOOD YOU FEEL RUSHED BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO BE READY FOR THE 8:15 HENCE THE TERM "EAT AND RUN"! THEY DO HAVE SIDE DINING ROOMS ATTACHED TO THE SCARLET ROOM I LIKE THEM BETTER BUT YOU DON"T GET SEE DANCING TABLE SHOWS BECAUSE THE SIZE OF THE SIDE ROOMS ARE SMALL BUT ROOMY FOR PATRONS BUT NOT FOR DANCING SO THE WAITERS ARE NOT AS ENTERTAINING AS ON THE MAIN FLOOR.THE FOOD WAS GREAT AT FIRST BUT SERVICE FELL OFF TOWARDS THE END SO I DON'T KNOW IF THEY WERE HAVING PROBLEMS OR SUCH BUT SOME FOOD WAS COLD AND MY WARM MELTING CAKE WAS JUST BATTER SO THEY TOOK IT BACK THE STEAKHOUSE WAS GREAT AS USUAL BUT BOOK EARLY IT HAS BECOME A HIT BUT HAS LIMITED SEATING @ A 108 PEOPLE. THE BREAKFAST WAS DISORGANIZED AT BEST THE SETUP IS WRONG FOR EX. THE OMLET LINE HAS FRUIT AND OMLET BUT THE BREAKFAST SIDE HAS FRUIT,CEREAL,TOAST, MEATS,POTATOES SO IF YOU GET AN OMLET AND WANT A SIDE ITEM YOU HAVE TO GET IN THE OTHER LINE AND BY THAT TIME YOUR FOOD GETS COLD. THE WOK IS STILL GOOD TIMES WERE SHORTER AS I THINK PEOPLE DID NOT WANT TO WAIT THE OTHER BUFFETS WERE GOOD THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK BOUGHT OUT A BARBECUE AT THE LANAI (DECK 5) WAS EXCELLENT BUT I THINK THIS WAS DONE TO EASE CROWDING AT THE WOK AND PASTA. THOUGH BY THE END OF THE CRUISE THEY DID OPEN A BREAKFAST STATION COMBINING EVERYTHING INTO ONE .

THE STATEROOM WAS OK AS I HAD AN INSIDE STATEROOM GREAT FOR IF YOU ARE A BUSY PERSON AND ONLY NEED SLEEPING QUARTERS,THE STEWARD WAS GREAT REAL ATTENTIVE AND SEEMED HAPPY AT ALL TIMES I CHOSE A INSIDE FORWARD CABIN (LIKE THE ACCESS OF THE 10 ELEVATORS AT FRONT) NOTICED THEY PLACED A FUN ASHORE BOOK IN ROOM (WAS NOT ON PREVIOUS CRUISE) WHICH FEATURES ITINERARY AND TOP EXCURSIONS A BIG HELP AS THEY TEND TO BRIEF U ON THESE THINGS BEFORE U DOCK AT EACH ISLAND WHEN MOST PEOPLE ARE TOO BUSY, SO PEOPLE TEND TO MISS OUT

THE ON BOARD OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES WERE FUN BUT SEATING WAS LIMITED FOR THE OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES SO SOMETIMES YOU HAD A GREAT VIEW FOR ONE ACTIVITY BUT NOT SO FOR ANOTHER AS THEY TAKE PLACE ALL OVER THE SHIP THE COMEDY CLUB IS STILL A HIT THOUGH THEY HAVE ADDED OTHER ACTIVITIES TO HELP EASE OVERCROWDING IN THE VENUES SO THE SHOWS WERE ALL ACCESSIBLE WITHOUT YOU HAVING TO LEAVE (FOR EX.THE COMEDY BETWEEN COMEDIAN SHOWS)

ST THOMAS AND ST MARTIN WERE HEAVY SHIP DAYS ST THOMAS HAD 4 SHIPS SCATTERED ON THE ISLAND SO THE EXCURSIONS FILLED FAST SO JUST HAD TO WING IT AND GO FREESTYLE WHICH WAS GOOD BECAUSE IT WAS AT MY OWN PACE. ST MARTIN HAD SIX SHIPS INCLUDING OASIS OF THE SEAS AT AN ESTIMATED 18,000 PEOPLE SO IT WAS EXTREMELY CROWDED AND EXCURSIONS WERE BOOKED SOLID SO HAD TO FREESTYLE IT AGAIN SO MY SUGGESTION IS TO BOOK EARLY ON THESE CRUISES AT THIS TIME OF YEAR AS THE CRUISE SHIPS MOVE TO THE WARM CARIBBEAN BECAUSE OF THE COLD WEATHER ELSEWHERE BUT THEY SPREAD OUT AFTER MARCH. NASSAU WAS GREAT ONLY TWO SHIPS DOCKED SO I SPENT THE DAY IN ATLANTIS A MUST SEE PLACE AS YOU MUST SEE THE AQUARIUM

SO OVERALL MY CRUISE EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE IMPROVEMENT OVER MY FIRST CRUISE. I LIKE THE IDEA OF MOVING THINGS AROUND TO HELP SPREAD THE CROWD TO HELP EASE OVERCROWDING BUT I DID HAVE ONE GRIPE AND REALLY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CARNIVAL IT SEEMS THE SHIP WAS TOO BIG FOR MOST OF THE PEOPLE ON THERE AND THERE WAS A LOT OF CONFUSION ON THEIR PART AS THEY DIDN'T TRY TO FIND ALTERNATIVE WAYS TO MOVE AROUND, THEY SEEMED TO TAKE THE FASTEST WAY AND STUCK WITH IT IT CAUSING A HUGE GRIDLOCK AT TIMES ESPECIALLY AT THE DINING ROOM ,AS THE ELEVATORS ARE RIGHT THERE, SO YOU HAVE HUGE CROWDS BLOCKING THE WAY TO AN ALTERNATIVE MEANS ,SO MY SUGGESTION IS GET TO KNOW THE SHIP THAT YOU ARE RIDING,AND EXPLORE ALTERNATIVE ROUTES AS ALL SHIPS ARE NOT MADE THE SAME!
