In short, the cruise was wonderful. The ship was beautiful and very expansive. My husband and I have cruised on the Fantasy, and after that cruise,I swore off cruising for life!!! I'm very glad that a friend of ours convinced me to try again. The staff exceeded all of our expectations through out the entire cruise. Although we ran into rough seas following on the coat tails of Hurricane Tomas, we always felt that the captain and his crew were in complete contol at all times. Daily we were updated with weather forecasts and certain safety instuctions. Our cabin steward was very friendly and our cabin was spotless. Any special needs or requests were promptly executed with a smile. The wait staff in the Scarlet Dining Room were very friendly and never rushed us through a meal. The food was exceptional and very plentiful. If some individual could not find an acceptable meal or snack on board, I don't think that person would be satisfied anywhere. Excursions were great and getting on and off the boat was not as difficult as I had imagined it would be. Keep in mind, they are trying to get 2-3,000 people off of of the boat. There are going to be lines and people in a rush. Word of advice, wait to get off the ship unless you have an early excertion time.

The food was very good and every meal had lovely presentation. If you did not find something that tickled your fancy on the menu, you could request something else. We were always encouraged to try other entree's along with our regular selections. The wait staff was very swift, we never felt rushed during our time in the dining room and they could not be more pleasant. The folks working in the "Gathering" lines were very pleasant. The people busing the tables were very quick to clear tables to make room for other diners.

Our stateroom was roomier than I expected. It was spotless and the stewards were very helpful with special needs and requests. We had a stateroom with a balcony and rest assured, we will not cruise again with out one!
The flat screen tv was very nice and the map on one of the channels was really great. You could follow where we have been and where we are going. Cool!!! My husband is a large (tall) guy and had no trouble with the shower being too small!!! Ran into that problem on the Fantasy.

We did not partake much in the on board activities. What I heard from other cruisers, apparently they were alot of fun. My husband and I staked out our territory in Serenity and basically lounged there except when we went off the boat while in port.

Book excursions early as they do fill up fast. If you're going to St. Thomas, the Amber Museum and waterfall was very interesting.

Over all, it was a great time, great ship, and we would definitely cruise on this ship again. We highly recommend it to anyone either looking to totally relax or to be as very busy as you wish. I would definetely recommend the spa. The massage was wonderful and we were not given a high pressure sales pitch to purchase every beauty product available. Not to say we were not approached, but once we said no, that was the end of the sales push.
