I was not impressed by the Dream. Did not feel like the bigger ship had much space to it. Everything was cramped. The deck seating for the large screen outside did not offer much room for many guest. We did come across a sewer type smell on the lower decks about midship. The other carnival ships we have been on in the past just seemed better to us.

The food was good. However, our waiter was slow and did not try to offer anything outside the menu. My husband did not feel well for a few days and the waiter was no help in trying to get him some type of bland foods not even a cracker. I hate the buffet lines people can get so rude butting in constantly to get their milk or their silverware or just little bit of something so they don't have to wait in line. About the 5th day you just want to throw your tray at them.

Do not stay in the aft part of the ship you will walk forever to get to your room. The extended balcony room does not have the couch inside. I felt like for what we paid our room was small in comparison to the other balcony rooms we had on other ships.

Music was not always playing at the pool. If you could not find a chair on the big screen side you were not able to hear any of the live music that was played during the afternoon. Of course chairs were always being saved.

We did the excursion in Cozumel the Passion Island beach with the twister speed boat. This was a good excursion for the money. The beach was clean and very private.

We will most likely do another carnival cruise but not on the Dream. I think the Freedom ship is bette or Valor.
