Itinerary: FAMILY VACATION

WITH MUCH EXCITEMENT WE EMBARKED ON OUR 1ST CRUISE EVER, MYSELF , HUSBAND 2 BOYS AGES 16 & 18, MY SISTER AND HER PARNTNER. WE HAD 3 COVE BALCONY ROOMS WHICH WAS GREAT EXCEPT THERE WAS A KITCHEN ABOVE US ON DECK 3 VERY NOISY. FOOD WAS JUST OK, CREW MEMBERS , WAIT STAFF, ENTERNAINMENT STAFF ALL WONDERFUL! SHOWS WERE GREAT DANCERS PHENOMENAL , AND WE WERE LUCKY TO HAVE MICHAEL MACY THE COMEDIAN ON OUR SHIP . HE WAS OUTSTANDING! HAD US FALLING OUT OF CHAIRS LAUGHING. HOWEVER, NOW THE DOWN SIDE , UNBEKNOWNST TO US CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE HAD AGREED TO ALLOW THE FILMING OF ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS ( CHIP WRECKED 3) THE ENTIRE WEEK LONG ON OUR SHIP AND THIS LED TO THE CLOSING OF CERTAIN AREAS , ELEVATORS, POOLS AND WATERSLIDES ON THE SHIP UNANNOUNCED AT ANY TIME . NOT TO MENTION THE RUDENESS OF THE FILMING CREW YELLING FOR PEOPLE A DECK ABOVE OR BELOW THE FILMING AREA TO BE QUIET.

THE FOOD WAS JUST O.K FOR A FAMILY ECONOMICAL VACATION IT WAS GOOD.

STATE ROOM WAS GREAT IN SIZE, NOISY ON DECK 2 COVE BALCONY , THERE WAS A KITCHEN ABOVE US , WE GOT LITTLE SLEEP , VERY NOISY ALL NIGHT LONG , WE FIGURE THIS IS WHERE ROOM SERVICE CAME FROM ON OUR AREA OF THE SHIP.

ACTIVITIES ALWAYS KEPT US BUSY ALTHOUGH THE POOLS WERE SMALL AND THE FILMING OF THE MOVIE KEPT AREAS CLOSED OR YOU WERE YELLED AT TO BE QUIET IF FILMING WAS HAPPENING IN THE NEARBY AREA. THERE WAS ALWAYS A SHOW, KAREOKE, TRIVIA, DANCE INSTRUCTION OR GAME SHOWS AND BINGO HAPPENING WE WERE BUSY BUT YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO JUST JUMP IN AND HAVE FUN WHO CARES IF YOU ACT A FOOL . YOU WILL NEVER SEE THESE PEOPLE AGAIN.

ONLY WENT TO THE BEACH ON COZUMEL WHICH WAS NICE STAFF WAS EXCEPTIONAL, BUT SOMETHING WAS BITING PEOPLE IN THE WATER THAT DAY A LITTLE SCARY. ROATAN AS SOON AS WE PULLED INTO PORT THERE WERE FLIES EVERYWHERE OUTSIDE . A LITTLE SKEPTICAL ABOUT WHAT WAS CAUSING THAT.

I HAD A GOOD TIME ANYWAY DESPITE THE WRONGDOINGS ON BEHALF OF THE CRUISE COMPANY NOT MAKING US AWARE OF THE FILMING AND GIVING US AN OPPORTUNITY TO SWITCH SHIPS OR DATES. THERE WAS ALWAYS A GAME OR DANCE INSTRUCTION, KAREOKE, TRIVIA, OR SHOWS TO KEEP YOU BUSY . I'M JUST VERY UPSET WITH THE CONSTANT BATTLE OF TRYING TO AVOID THE FILM CREW AND WHAT TOPPED IT OFF WAS HEARING AN ELDERLY MAN GET YELLED AT WHEN HE TRIED TO TAKE A PICTURE OF ONE OF THE MAIN STARS IN THE MOVIE AS HE WAS WALKING THROUGH A SHOOT. AFTER ALL WE DID PAY FOR THIS VACATION AND IF TAKING A PICTURE WITH/ OR OF A HOLLYWOOD STAR IS TOO MUCH TO ASK AFTER PUTTING UP WITH THEIR AGGRAVATION FOR A WEEK , SO WHAT? WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMP'D PART OF OUR EXPENSE FOR WHAT EVERYONE HAD TO PUT UP WITH.
