We just finished our first cruise on the Carnival Dream. We had a wonderful experience the entire time. Boarding the ship was very efficient and organized. The rooms were always clean and maintained by a friendly staff. The first stop in Nassau was not much to write home about. The only problem we encountered was getting off the ship the last day. We had an early flight out of Orlando and Carnival would not guarantee us to make the flight on time so we had to hire a company to get us from the ship to the airport. It worked out OK anyway.

The food in the Crimson dining area was outstanding each night. Juan, our waiter, did a wonderful job and was very friendly. The food was always hot and delivered promptly. My favorite all week was the Lobster! The food on deck 10 wasn't bad either. I would recommend the pasta bar, deli, and getting some Mongolian BBQ.

We had an interior statesroom and it was very clean and nice. I would pack my own bar of soap and shampoo the next time. Our only problem was that we were located directly above the casino and on a few occasions heard a lot of noise from down there. Overall, the rooms were clean, nice, and comfortable.

The shows we went to were very good. The dancing show was one of the best you will see at any place in the U.S. The country music show was very good also. The family oriented comedy shows were also real good. The adult comedy was a little raunchy however. There could have been a few more family oriented activities at times during the days at sea. Pool was usually crowded and because of that, we never even went swimming in the pool. I would like to see a good movie selection on the outdoor screen each night instead of some of the activities they provided.

Nassau was OK. I would advise anyone to take a tour of the islands of St. Thomas and St. Maartin. We went snorkling in St. Thomas and had an incredible time. We loved watching the different fish species as we snorkled. The view of Maagans beach from the top of St. Thomas is breathtaking. You should not miss this. My kids saw an Iguana as we were touring as well.

Overall a great experience for a first time cruiser. Cant wait to try it again in the future.
