I was a little apprehensive about going on a Carnival cruise because we had previously cruised on sedate Holland American and Princess. We picked Carnival because of the ship's family cabin which turned out great exactly like we imagined, and the children's clubs great reputation. The kids had a blast! The service was excellent and the crew very friendly.

The food was below average at the Lido restaurant except for the Pasta Bar, the Indian restaurant and the Pizzeria; the pastries looked so bad that I did not even have the temptation to try one single one over 7 days.. The food in the Crimson restaurant was very good to excellent.

Our cabin (7365) was a perfect 4 person family cabin. It had 1 queen size and a sofa bed which at night was converted into a king size bed just a comfortable as the regular bed. The bathroom included a bathtub with a Jacuzzi and double sinks.

For my taste, the focus is too much on entertainment on Carnival and I found that to be too stressful but if we wanted to take the kids on another cruise we might just book on Carnival just because of their great 4 people cabins. We particularly enjoyed the 4 comedians and the large number of comedian shows (between 2 and 4 daily) The Broadway shows and others were OK.
