I would recommend parking off port site because the rates have been raised and i call it price gouging, the parkcruise company was great getting us there and back to the ship. I cruise on all lines and came back to Carnival because of price. My first impression of the ship when I entered it was nothing special, the atrium was fairly plain, nothing noteworthy about it.

First time on the Dream, was told by a previous cruiser on Dream that you did not notice crowding, were they wrong. Nothing spectacular about whole cruise. Lots of small problems on the boat, one day the water tasted bad because the desalination plant could not keep up with demand. On our floor maintenance was always working on bathrooms (our toilet would not flush had to call maintenance, they were there fast, i think the boat has a plumbing problem), Dining room service was great, servers spectacular. i tried to eat in dining room all meals, I do not like buffets and the one meal I had there was not very good. Rooms stewards kept room clean.

On the St thomas port morning, major confrontation in the halls, the shopping guide told everyone to be in line at 10:30 for 11:00am docking, they were there. "uncle brucey', comic club mc, was in the hall yelling at the people in the line to go away, do not come here until 11:00, people told him what they had been told, he argued with them, someone needs to get there stories straight. Debarkation was fast and easy. while we had no major problems, there was nothing noteworthy about the ship, on anything on board. The Dream appears to have simply been designed to carry a lot of people with little extra being placed into its design and amenities.

Best desert on the seas, chocolate warming cake.

Always clean cabin and pleasant, the room attendant never introduced themselves to us, so have no idea what they were, they did a good job.

Carnival is really for young crowd, family and heavy drinkers.

St thomas is a great port
