Carnival Cruise Lines

This was the second Carnival Cruise that my husband and I went on. It was just as fun as the first one. We went on the Conquest out of Galveston on May 7th. We live about 45 minutes from Galveston so that in itself made it nice. We had a 3 friends go along with us and it was their first cruise.

We arrived at the terminal about 12:00 and dropped our bags off and was in the terminal about 30 minutes before we started going through the process to check in. The lines moved very quickly and we were on the ship in no time.

Once we stepped foot on the ship after taking our picture for our sail an sign card, the party began. We dropped off our carry on bags in our room and made our way up to the Lido deck to eat lunch. After eating we walked around the ship until it was time for the life boat drill. After the drill it was time to set sail. We had the late seating dinner in the Renoir restaurant, our waiter and waitress we really fun!

Our first full day at sea was a blast, we stayed out on the Lido deck from about 10am until it was time to dress for our first formal night, needless to say, we drank allot and didn't realize we were getting torched!! We missed the captain's party and were bummed about that but we did make it to dinner and had lobster. Being our second cruise, allot of the things were the same so we knew what to expect. The couple that went with us had never been on a cruise before so it was neat watching them get so excited about everything.

Second day at sea: We couldn't lay out very long because we were so torched from the day before, we met a few people and hung out with them, walking around the ship, just hanging out.

Montego Bay: We spent the day at the Breezes Resort. It was allot of fun, for $45 we had access to the resort for the day, all water activities, food, name it. After about 5 hours on the beach, we walked around the "town" a little bit and shopped. That go kind of scary a time or two. Overall it was cool though, One thing I will say is that those people can't drive worth a flip!! They use two things in those van cabs that they drive....the gas and the horn! It was an experience. We were ready to get back on the boat.

Grand Cayman: We did the Reef and Ray combo. It was pretty neat snorkeling with the stingrays and seeing the coral reef. The water was so pretty. It was like being in a swimming pool. After snorkeling, we went to the Hard Rock Cafe and ate lunch. It was crazy!! Three of us ate there and for 2 salads, a hamburger, 2 beers and tea it cost us $ 67. That was awful!! We couldn't believe it. It was good though. We walked around town and shopped a little while before it was time to get back on the ship and head for Cozumel.

Cozumel: We booked the Beginners Scuba. It was okay, I was kind of afraid but it was ok. My husband loved it! After that, we went to Fat Tuesdays and ate lunch then went shopping. My favorite store was Del Sol. They have the great shirts. We actually ran out of money, went back to the ship to get more and then shopped more. We got back on the boat, ate and just relaxed. Cozumel was our favorite port. The people are nice there, but a bit pushy but it was okay with us, they just want money.

The staff on on ship was so nice. We loved Todd, the director. He was so funny and could he sing!. He kept us laughing all the time. And he looks like Ryan Seacrest from a distance!! Boris was a really cool waiter and so was Paul.

Everything we did on there was a blast. The Mari Gras Deck party was really cool. You couldn't move on the Lido deck but we loved every minute of it. We had so much fun on there and can't wait to go back.

We are all booked to go again on the same cruise in November. It was a BLAST!!!!
