Overall, I enjoyed the cruise. Embarkation was a breeze, we got to the pier early ,about 11. We had to wait till 3 to get into our room. We spent this time grabing a bite at the buffet and getting to know the ship. BEWARE of the drinks they meet you with when you come onboard. They cost $8. There are NO free drinks.

We had good weather the whole trip. Seas not over 4 ft. However, Jamaica was a bust. It was dirty and Drug infested with overbearing vendors. We snorkeled at the public beach on our own, it was ok. Carnival should take Jamaica off their list, period. If I went back, I probably would not get off the ship.

Caymans was great! We snorkeled the shipwreck and reef. Snorkeled at 7 Mile Beach on our own - great. Our stop at Cozemel was cancelled early on by Carnival due to swine flu. Out of the goodness of their heart, they gave us another " fun day at sea " . I would have liked to spend more time in Georgetown, or a different port, but Carnival , more or less, said "tough, we want you to spend your money on our ship".

Leaving the boat is a nightmare. Try not to pack but one piece of luggage, if you carry off, you are going to have to deal with it. Carry off gets you off a lot faster, but we took too many pieces of luggage.

The food was good. We ended up with late dining. Somehow that got screwed up and nobody would try to fix it. We tried months ago to change this. David and Ida were the best waiters I have ever had. The drink waiters on deck are way too pushy.

We had a balcony room. It cost about $300 more but well worth it. We would order roomservice coffee the night before and sit outside and enjoy the sunrise. If you want to be outside away from the crowd, this is the way to go.

There was plenty to do. I bought into the blackjack tourney for $20, and won $500. Lots of different music. I really enjoyed the giant outdoor movie screen. There were two movies a night. The mid ship Lido deck was terribly loud. We got to the back of the ship for more layed back lounging.

Stay away from Hot Shot Shuttles in Jamaica! The first stop is the ghetto fleamarket. Don`t plan a lot of different activities off the ship. By the time you get on and off, you don`t have alot of time for these.

Not a bad trip, but I will check around for my next one. I was totally pissed that Carnival did not try to make up for the stop in Cozemel. They notified us 3-4 weeks ahead of time. Plenty of time to make some other arrangements. Oh, they did refund $ 40 port charge. :-)
