This was my first cruise and my boyfriend's 2nd cruise. We're both in our mid twenties. We had heard mixed things about Carnival and we liked the price and look of the ship and itinerary. We were very pleased overall with our trip, with the ports, excursions, the ship, and I would recommend the cruise line to anyone. Our favorite port was Jamaica and I wish that we could have spent more time at all of the ports because I felt that we didn't have enough time to really see and experience all 3 ports. We would definitely go on another Carnival cruise.

The food was very good. We ate breakfast and dinner in the buffet or grille almost every day and we ate dinner every night in the dining room. Our server was excellent and it was nice to be able to try as many appetizers and entrees as you wanted. The desserts we had were great too. The dining room staff were very accommodating and always wanted to cater to what you wanted. There were several times when we ordered several appetizers or entrees. Also, the dining room staff did song and dance routines most evenings that were very entertaining.

Our stateroom was always clean and nice and our room steward did a great job but being on the 10th deck, we felt the ship move a lot and we would periodically hear loud bangs and noises (we never figured out what was making the noises) and it woke us up a lot and was annoying. This was our biggest complaint of the whole trip.

We had a great time on-board going to karaoke, trivia, the deck games, etc. It was a lot of fun to watch and participate in. The evening shows were great, especially the magic show.

We had a great time doing the Dolphin Swim and Dunn's Falls in Jamaica although we weren't aware that the excursion was an hour and a half drive both ways from our port. And we climbed the Dunn's falls which we wouldn't recommend for an older person who isn't steady on their feet. It's quite a ways up. In Grand Cayman, we did the Turtle Farm, Hell, and Stingray excursion. Hell is a total waste of time and a tourist trap, so don't bother seeing it. We didn't have as much time to see the turtles and snorkel with the stingrays which was amazing! If I could do it again, I would skip Hell completely and spend a lot more time at the turtle farm and with the stingrays. In Cozumel, we did the Sea Trek Helmet dive which was honestly pretty scary and we won't do it again. I felt very claustrophobic and didn't like it at all. It was uncomfortable and I was scared the whole time. I would recommend in general when booking excursions to not try and do too many things in one day. In Cayman we only had 30 minutes at the Turtle Farm and about 45 minutes snorkeling because we were on such a tight schedule.

We had a wonderful time and it was a very relaxing, fun vacation. You can do as little or as much as you want to and Carnival has a lot to offer and the service was great. Be careful with the room you choose because it might be noisy like ours was and be careful picking excursions.
