We had a ball.
The good points: Excellent food (especially the formal dining menu), clean state rooms, shows were pretty amazing (especially the magician lady from Venezuela), service was awesome, fitness/gym was great, and the staff overall was very friendly.
Could have been better: The cost of a drink was comical ($6.00 and up), one big marketing machine that is worse than Disneyland, the Cruise Director was on the intercom way to much (it was annoying after a while), and the shore excursions are very expensive (although I had fun on shore, the cost of the excursion did not match the value of what you get), and we ran into a few very unfriendly staff members (the purser's desk especially).
But the good points far outweigh the bad ones. It was well worth the money overall and I will continue to cruise Carnival in the future.
Lots and lots of food and overall all I would say it was excellent. The formal dinners are amazing and the waiters were very accomodating.
Clean and roomy. Didn't care for the twin beds pushed together to make a king size bed. But overall I was very pleased.
The after formal dining shows were pretty amazing. The dancers and singers were very good. The magician lady (Lady Helliva I think) was very good. Musicians were pretty good. The activities that the Cruise Directors organized were kind of corny, but fun.
Jamaica - Is beautiful, but a little scary (poverty). The Sandals excursion in Jamaica is very nice, but expensive.
Grand Cayman - Clean, chrystal clear water, and tons to do (go to Hell).
Cozumel - Very nice overall. The Playa Mia excursion is nice. Great beach, good food, and bottomless drinks.
Overall very pleasant. Nothing was so bad that I would never go again. Carnival Conquest is a beautiful ship with plenty to do aboard.
