We had a cold front passing through the Gulf the weekend we left, so the water was a little rough for me. But the Carnival Conquest is a large ship and overall handled the weather okay.
The day of the cruise, boarding the ship was fairly easy. They seemed to have everything pretty well organized. Parking was a little tricky (the closest parking lot was not open). And we got there early.

I was not impressed with the food or the desserts. Especially the desserts. Nothing was fresh and the selection was slim at the buffet. At dinner in the Monet, it was okay. You would think the buffet would give you the "all you can eat experience", but the staff working in the food establishments seemed to monitor food pretty closely. I did enjoy the fish and chips food area and the pizza. But the pizza had a menu for your selection - but good luck in ordering what you want and how much you want. We paid for the Point Steak Restaurant experience, and it was worth it. We ate there the last night of cruise.

Our stateroom was large enough for two adults. We had a balcony and it was nice. Bathroom was large also. Our statesman was very nice and attentive to our needs.

We enjoyed the comedy club but not the nightly entertainment presented in the larger lounge.

We enjoyed our excursions.

Overall, the cruise was okay. Food and entertainment could be better. Much better.
