Itinerary: Southern Caribbean

I cruised with Carnival Destiny on September 4th, 2005 to the southern Caribbean. This was my second cruise but first with carnival and believe me it will definitely be my last. After cruising with Royal Caribbean on Voyager of the Seas I was not impressed. I was able to visit St. Thomas and Dominica only as on my return back to ship from Dominica while in the dining room I slipped and fell because of water that had been left to sit with no sign to warn anyone. This caused me to be in a wheel chair for the rest of the trip. On the stop in Aruba while the rest of my family went shopping I was sent to the hospital for additional x-rays. What was meant to a relaxing vacation turned out to be a nightmare, I was in bed for the rest of the trip. Could barely walk, and needed assistance for everything. I ordered room service and the presentation of the food was disgusting. I have tried to contact carnival since this incidence to no avail. There are times that I am in bed for days from the pain associated with this fall. Ii have to take percocet just to manage the pain. I have never been compensated for the inconvenience. I personally feel that I should have been refunded as I was not able to enjoy my cruise the way I should and definitely the way that I planned. I do hope that someone from Carnival does read this and contact me. I sent a letter to carnival and received no response. Take Warning! DO NOT CRUISE WITH CARNIVAL!
