This was my first cruise. I went with cruise veterans, who had highly recommended this cruise and Carnival. I was completely disappointed along with the 8 other people with me. The customer service was terrible! It was a bad situation only made worse by the way Carnival handled their business. I do not ever want to travel with Carnival again because they truly left a bad taste in my mouth. Doing business is a choice and I chose not to do business with a cruise line who does not respect and treat their passengers with the best customer service possible. Carnival Destiny definitely needs some lessons in putting your paying customers first!

Based on the wonderful stories I heard, I had very high expectations. Carnival Destiny fell short on all my expectations. Not only were our ports of call changed without notice but Carnival staff failed to provide a clear explanation of the circumstances surronding the changes until the passengers challenged the changes. At that time police were called by Carnival like the passengers were at fault when it was their lack of customers service that ignited the anger.

The food was okay especially in the dining room. I preferred to eat dinner in the dining area instead of the lido deck. The Captains dinner was very good.

The room was cleaned daily but my husband had to ask for a towel decoration and we only received it the one night when it was asked for by my husband. My other friends got one nightly. The balcony was rusty and the window needed cleaning. It was stained with fluids of all kinds that had been there for a while.

I enjoyed the Karoke and comedy only.

I did not participate in shore excursions because they just were not interesting.

It was very slow and the two nights at sea were not fun.
