My husband was in the Carnival Poker Pro Challenge onboard the Destiny. He came in 3rd, and we will be sailing on the Dream for the 2011 finals. The cruise was great! The food was excellent! We never had anything that was cold or stale. This was the first ship that we have absolutely loved the food. We chose just to explore each city on our own. The taxi guys will drive you nuts in Jamaica, though. They just all stand along the only sidewalk into town and ask you over and over. It was very annoying.
Entertainment on the ship is typical Carnival flair. We actually walked out of the first show, along with many others.
Spoke with the VP of Carinval ( who was there for the Poker Finals) who said the Destiny was going to be refurbished right after our cruise. She could really use it!
Food was superb! The best ever!
Old and bathroom was rusty and cramped.
Typical Carnival.

We sailed exclusively for the Poker Pro Challenge. The tournament was run by a top notch crew. My husband's only complaint was that he came in 3rd.
