I've traveled on Carnival once, but I fell in love in Royal Caribbean's quality. My budget was a little tight this year, so we picked up Carnivals deal with few expectations. I don't know what the people who are complaining are talking about, but embarkation took only 15 to 20 minutes.

The ocean view room #1301 was very good and the room was spacious when compared to Royal Caribbean's Mariner. I was very pleased with our Stateroom. The Oceanview room was bigger than the Balcony that I had on Royal Caribbean last year.

The quality of the food was pretty good, but there was one night the buffet was a little cold. All in all, the food was great. The quality of the food in the dining room was great. The food quality was good the majority of the time. There was just one experience that I had, where the food wasn't good and not well done. It was actually the night of the captain's ball and we decided to eat in the buffet, bad decision.

There was always activity throughout the ship. The comedians were ok and the show that everyone hypes, called 'ticket to ride' (Beatles), actually was dry and boring. D.J Chippy in the 70's club played the same Atlanta HIp hop daily. I asked him if he could play dance hall and he looked as if I said a foreign word. He asked if I meant Reggae and I said no Dance Hall.

The islands were great and my wife and I decided that we're retiring to either S.t Thomas on Tortola V.I. This year we didn't do a ton of excursions and the one we wanted to do, booked quickly. Make sure you book the ATV excurion in Antigua ahead of time. We took the tours on the islands and we hung out on the beaches. It was cool to learn more about the island, because you can jetski anywhere(I live in Florida).

On a scale of 1 to 10, I give my cruise experience a high 7 or a low 8. I would do it again. The experience was too much to tell, go for yourself and get your own experience.
