This was my first cruise ever and we went with my parents, my sister and her husband and 3 kids, my husband and I and our two children. Besides leaving port due a medical emergency 4 hours late it was a good departure. I was impressed with the Camp Carnival activities, check in system, and supervision. There were 5 kids between the ages of 6-11 and they asked some days to go to Camp Carnival! We loved our shore excursion to Cozumel to swim with the dolphins. I highly recommend Chankahab (sp?) Park- beautiful beach, dolphin encounter and swim programs were great, nice clean pool, and beautiful, clean grounds. Staff was friendly throughout the ship! The shows were good - great family oriented. We loved Tuesday night's "Justin Ilusion" show!

THe food was good. A good variety each day! Loved the chocolate fountain on Thursday along with all the rest of the chocolate foods presented. We ate in the Red Sail restaurant most nights with the kids. Service was slow in the formal dining room on the first formal night

Very clean, comfortable, plenty of room to put things away in the cupboards. We had a balcony suite with adjoining rooms for our family since we had 3 different rooms to hold all 11 of us in our group! We were on the 7th deck!

Our kids loved the waterslide, pools, mini golf, chess and Camp Carnival and all of its activities! We had some good laughs at the marriage show on Friday. We went to the rock and roll evening show one night and enjoyed the songs, dancing and special effects! We all loved the Justin Illusion show on Tuesday! wow! It seemed like there were activities for all age groups!

OK if you want a great place to meet the dolphins go to Chanakahab Park in Cozumel. We found it cheaper to book thru the park than Carnival. Great place - see explanation above in overall cruise experience! We went to a local beach in Bahamas and it was beautiful. You could go parasailing, drive jet-skis or just walk the beaches! Kids went on the trampoline anchored close to shore for hours! In Belize we just went on the tender boats into the town and shopped inside the secured area. We had to leave the port of Roatan and couldn't get off the ship due to a local government protest! We had scheduled a Carnival excursion to see the spider monkeys but that didn't happen!

Every family has to go on a cruise in their lifetime! Eventhough we had a rough start due to a medical emergency that could not of course be controlled Carnival handled it as best as possible. Also with the Honduras uprising it was handled as best as possible and we had an extra day at sea! Oh well! We will definitely go on another Carnival cruise again soon!
