This was my second cruise, first on Carnival. This was my husband's first cruise. He had an amazing time and so did I. We had formal dining initially in the Platinum Restaurant, but changed to Golden due to being seated in a booth with one of the five of us on a chair at the end of the booth and being bumped in to continually. The Maitre'D in the Golden, Terrance, was amazing and never failed to stop and speak with us each evening to ask about our day. The food was great and we all enjoyed sampling each others meals. The weather wasn't the best during the cruise but that wasn't Carnival's fault. There was certainly plenty of entertainment to choose from and my husband participated twice in a Ping Pong Tournament and greatly enjoyed that.

We enjoyed all of the food, except for the Chocolate Buffet which we didn't like at all. Most everything that I tried tasted like cardboard. The Fish and Chips bar was amazing and I ate there most lunches. The Guava-Papaya juice in the Red Sail Resturant at breakfast was amazing and I'm craving it and can't find it on land!

We had a wonderful room. My husband was amazed at the amount of room we had. We filled it up pretty quick! Our attendant, Sombuty was great to us.

We power snorkeled in Nassau and had a great time. My husband is still talking about it.

We only took 2 excursions, power snorkeling in Nassau and my husband did a fly fishing trip in Grand Turk. We enjoyed both trips but I think we'll forgo planned trips the next time because we didn't get time to really explore each port. We landed in San Juan to a downpour, got off, walked to Senor Frogs and the Harley shop and got back on the boat. The weather was just not conducive to exploring.

We did not let the weather spoil our trip, we certainly enjoyed every minute of it and would go again in a blink. I'm amazed to read some of the critiques from people that go on and on about the way "some company" ruined their trip because of, the class of people on the ship, they didn't have my kind of steak sauce, the weather was bad and I missed a port I really wanted to see, ad nausea um. Life is what you make it, if your a negative person any trip you take won't be much fun.
