This was my best cruise yet. It was just me and my mom. The ports were beautiful, better than expected. As was the food. This was my second cruise with Carnival and I do not remember the food being anywhere as good and I don't remember there being so much of it. The cruise was relaxing and fun-filled and well deserved.

We were seated in the Golden dining room. The food was great. What can I say? We are on a VERY resricted diet; (vegetarian, no eggs, no fish, gluten + lactose 'limited') and yet they still managed to overwhelm us with delicious food, and a wide variety at that. ;) Alina was the name of one of the hostesses and she was FANTASTIC. She was responsible for our wonderful dining experience. WOW. She even got them to make me eggless bread and pizza, gelatin-free + vegetarian soups... And she made sure that this bread was available at all times. GO TO THE BURRITO BAR! And the chocolate buffet, the Taste of Nations, and the fro-yo station! Whenever we wanted to order from the bar it was always about 20 minutes until a bar waiter showed up. (We had a prepaid soda card, so it wasn't like they had any more money to make.) We had Your Time Dining and I highly recommend this to people traveling with small groups or families. Who wants to worry about being 'on time' for dinner on vacation anyway?!?! We had Your Time Dining last year on the Carnival Conquest, too. We would definitely do this next time as well.

Our stateroom was always clean and comfortable. Our stewardess, Asdika, was very polite. And helpful, most of the time. Not a big deal but he didn't replace our glasses. The beds were comfortable, the robes were not. Oh, and we left dishes and trays and cups on our windowsill, hoping Asdika would clear them away but they sat there for days blocking my favorite place to sit.

If your looking for a fun cruise filled with interesting activities, I recommend the Carnival Conquest. The Glory just didn't have enough activities and I was not impressed with Marcelo, our cruise director. Last year, on the Conquest, our director, Chris, was fabulous. He was funny and fun and did not try to constantly sell you stuff. He was honest about where to shop at the Ports of Call while still squeezing in his humor. AND he did not come on the loudspeaker all the time, like Marcelo did (usually to try to sell you something.)

First Port of Call- Nassau. This was my favorite port. We got off the ship kind of late so most of the tours had already left. try to find a small, not-so-advertised tour in a van, with a nice driver. Ours' name was Wellington. I am really nervous about that mind of stuff so make sure that he has an ID card/badge. We saw Atlantis, The Queen's Staircase, and a fort (I don't remember the name) and we just drove through the neighborhood (or as they call it- the 'hood) And don't go too far from the terminal when looking for a tour. Preferably look for a tour INSIDE the terminal, let them find you. And if it is not your first time in Nassau, SAY THAT. Otherwise, they think you are naive and will charge you ridiculous prices, etc. #2- St. Thomas, USVI- I didn't exactly look but i did not see such amazing shopping. I hear Magen's Bay is nice, but we went to Sapphire Beach and it was great. We even saw iguanas! Don't let them charge you any more than $10. (& try to find a van w/ AC; it is HOT) 3. San Juan, Puerto Rico- OK This one is a MUST! We did the segway tour and it is just an UNBELIEVABLE experience!!!! and last- Grand Turk. My mom insisted that we do a snorkeling tour, but it's not really my thing, so i said we compromise. We did the Reef & Ray tour. It was fun! But it's not a must. Miami- we had a late flight and we LOVED the segways so much that we decided to do them again in Miami. Also a MUST! Def do the segways either in Miami (South Beach) 10th + Collins or in San Juan. (It's cheaper in South Beach.)

Great cruise and would recommend to anyone looking to relax while having fun!
