We chose the New York Port to sail from because some of the 25 members in
our party do not prefer to fly. The ship was beautiful when we walked on,
but beauty is not worth anything if you do not get the trip you paid for.
We paid for 3 Ports of Call, (PR,StThomas & Tortola)The Legend staff knew
the ship had an engine problem but let us board without telling the
passengers. We should have been given the choice to board knowing we would
not get to the Ports of Call we paid for, or we should have been given the
opportunity to not board and get a full refund. However, they took us out
to sea and then told us the next day over a loud speaker, as if you could
understand or hear what they are telling us. I never received anything in
writing regarding the change of itinery, but was brought to Bermuda to
make ship repairs. The island was very expensive and not very friendly to
Americans. Then we headed home and because the ship was repaired, we made
circles in the ocean to waste time, since they were not allowed to get
into the NY port early. Will never go on a Carnival Cruise again due to
the fact that they seem to have no interest in my situation that I paid
for a High Budget vacation and got a Low Budget vacation that was forced
on me and my family. There was nothing open on the ship while in port for
the 2 1/2 days and there was not enough for the older teens to do onboard.
Very disappointed and dissatisfied customer.
