This was our 6th cruise with Carnival and the best. We were celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary as well as my 60th Birthday. The staff and crew were attenative and very professional. They addressed us by name and were very helpful, remembering our celebrations. The itinerary is one of the best available sailing to Half Moon Cay, St. Thomas, San Juan and Grand Turk. It was our second cruise with this itinerary. Unfortunately, Grand Turk had not yet recovered from Hurricane Ike and we therefore visited Nassau instead of Grand Turk. Carnival may be know as the "FUN SHIP CRUISELINE" and advertises to families and younger cruisers but it is definitely a cruiseline for seniors.

The food was amazing. Great choices in the dining room, lido deck, fish & chips, deli, grill, pizza and stir fry stations. If you can't find something you would enjoy, you would be a very picky eater.

We splurged for a Category 11 suite and were knocked over. It was larger than a hotel room with a whirlpool bathtub and double sinks. Much more storage space than we needed and now we may find it hard to go back to a balcony cabin. It was beautifully appointed and spotless.

The onboard activities were your typical cruise activities. If you prefer quieter activities, as we do, you will enjoy the trivia, bingo, wine tasting and other low-key activities. Of course don't miss the casino, I think it misses me now, spent alot of time and money in there.

These ports lend themselves to exploring on your own. We have booked shore excursions through the ship in the past but this time just wandered around on our own. Half Moon Cay is paradise and once off the tender the beach is right there. On past visits to St. Thomas, we have opted for excursions to St. John. This time we took an independent St. Thomas Island Tour and were completely amazed and the scenery. Old Town San Juan is right at the Pier and is a nice walking tour. Finally, Nassau is great to discover on your own.
