We took the Carnival Liberty for an amazing 7 day cruise in the height of hurricane season. It was the best cruise of the 10 we have taken to date.

The food was very well prepared and served hot every time. The Fish and Chips, the Burito Bar, as well as pizza and ice cream were always ready.

Our stateroom was always clean and ready for us upon arrival. We had double balconies and they took the partition down for us so we could go from one cabin to the next.

We don't join in the onboard activities much but we love to hear the people doing their thing and laughing. There was a lot to do that kept us to busy going from one thing that interested us to the next.

The Half Moon Cay island was the best. I was so sorry didn't take a camera, the view was great. The water was so warm and the BBQ on the island was wonderful. It was such a relaxing day and we just played in the water. St. Thomas we knew to go right off ship into the strip mall and get us a open cab that took us to Megan Beach for $4.00 pp and $3.00 to get in the beach. They have cabs there that go back every 15 minutes for same, they dropped us off in town to shop. To take a cab from there is $2.00. We got off at Puerto Rico and walked around the Princess walk way to the Red Gate, through it up the hill to the San Jose Church that Juan Ponce de Leon is buried in. Then we walked to Del Morro and walked through that and took a trolley (free) down to the other fort San Cristobal and went through that for free as we had the tickets from Del Morro. Then we walked across the park to Fortaleza and there is a wonderful little trinket shop with great prices. Then back to the ship a couple of blocks. You need good walking shoes but you see it all. It's not all free, but $7.00 for both forts is a very good price. The forts are awesome. In Grand Turk we got to swim right next to the ship. Then Margaretta Ville to watch the guys loose their swimsuits on the flo rider, all free even the pool. We took a snorkeling excursion, but it was just so so. No pretty fish to see.

I was worried about going at Hurricane Season, but the Captain did an amazing job of keeping us away from the storms and we got all our ports of call where one ship high tailed it to Mexico. Everyone of the crew was wonderful and felt like we were being welcomed to a family gathering. I would hightly recommend this cruise, hopefully you get the same crew members we had.
