This was the first cruise for me. I was somewhat apprehensive as I am use to doing my own thing on my own schedule. As it turned out, that was hardly an issue. The gym/spa were excellent and far better than expected and after the first day wasn't overly crowded. The food was fine and ample and after figuring out the system, actually very good. The staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. The decor is....unique...The only negatives would be that clowns love to save deck chairs by placing towels on them and then never materializing, so getting a decent spot becomes a challenge. And the number of days at sea, it would have been nice to have had at least one more port of call. Overall, I look forward to going on more cruises.

Harry's Steakhouse is worth every penny! The steaks were awesome and the service top notch. The buffet on the Lido deck was pretty straight forward with multiple choices allowing you to eat as healthy, or not, as you want. For Breakfast, the omelette's were worth the wait. The Mongolian stir fry is also very good. The Panini / deli sandwhich station had one of the better pastrami sandwiches that I have had. Before dinner we would hit up the sushi bar, which according to my girlfriend, was pretty good. We did the cruise elegant dining a couple times in the Golden Olympian and had good meals and great service both times.

We ended up in the aft section with an extended balcony which allowed both of us to lay out and enjoy the sun when the deck areas were full. The room was bigger than I anticipated and everything was well kept and functional.

If you are bored on a cruise ship you will be bored pretty much anywhere. There were a ton of activities going on throughout the day. We hit up all the shows, most of the comedians, played bingo more than a few times, hit the gym most mornings, hung by the pool when not in port, won a few dollars and watched the bands in the casino, and hung out on our balcony when during embarkation / debarkation. Good Times....

We did our own thing in Cozumel...rented scooters and did the loop around the south side of the island. The windward side is very scenic with blow holes and fairly deserted beaches. Coconuts is a great bar if you go that route. Same goes for Grand Cayman, caught a cab and headed to 7 mile beach, found a nice patch of sand to lay out on and swam in the Caribbean. We did go to Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville prior to boarding the ship and had a blast. At Ocho Rios we went on a Zip Line / Tubing excursion. The zip line was fun, but was too quick. The tubing down the White River was well worth it. The only complaint would be the amount of time spent in Ocho Rios...not enough. We only had time to go on the excursion and board the ship. Would have been nice to have three or more hours...
