The overall cruise experience was very good. My husband and I brought our daughters who are 14 and 11 with us and they had a great time, however the kids entertainment rooms were pretty boring. Not a lot of kids attending and when they were there they were playing board games or watching tv, things you can already do at home basically. I thought they could have had some dancing or karaoke going on for the kids but never saw any of that. The ship was clean but very crowded.

The food was just ok. We had prime rib and lobster tail one night which was very good. Other than that there wasn't really anything special on the menu. The fettucine alfredo was dry and they only have margerine, no butter for the rolls which kind of surprised me. You think they would have served both. The burrito bar was the highlight, my husband and I ate there 3 times for lunch. The service however in the dining room was horrible!!!! After the 2nd night my kids didn't want to eat there anymore since it took so long to get anything. If you ordered extra dressing for salad we had to wait 10 minutes (no joke and no exaggeration). Same with mustard or ranch for the kids chicken strips. It was ridiculous. If you ordered Kahlua and coffeee, you could plan on receiving your Kahlua atleast 5 minutes after the coffee was served. You had to order your coffee from one waiter and liquor from another. The dessert menu pretty much stayed the same which was fine with me since thed had warm melting cake every night which was to die for. My hustand ordered a rum and coke and the waiter had no idea what rum was and brought over a drink menu to have him point it out. The wait staff did not understand some english which was frustrating.

Always clean.

It seemed like there should have been more to do. The dance clubs didn't get going until after 10:00at night, dont know why so late. The one show we decided to go to that had singing and dancing was interruped 3 times for technical difficulties and they couldn't even finish the show. That was disappointing. We did go to 2 comedy shows and both comedians we saw were really funny!!

If you are going to snorkel, definately do it in the Cayman Islands vs. Mexico. There were way more beaufiful fish in the Cayman Islands and not much going on in Mexico.

Not sure if I would sail Carnival again but if I did it would be a different ship other than the Liberty. We met some people on the Carnival Fantasy boat who raved about their service on the boat in the dining room. I must admit I was a bit jealous.
