Carnival Miracle Cruise Review

Ship: Miracle

Itinerary: Bahamas

This was our first cruise so while we had read many reviews we still were not sure exactly what to expect. The Miracle is Carnival’s newest spirit class ship and we were told we would not be disappointed. I assure you we were not. Jacksonville is also a new port and they still have a long way to go in organization. Overall it was not a long wait to board but the confusion in the terminal was unreal. It seemed that the staff had know idea which way to send you and having to go though 3 different lines seemed a little unnecessary. Once we boarded however everything fell into place and we were in for a fantastic trip.

We arrived on board at about 1:15pm with our sailing time at 4:00pm. We settled right in and our Frannie (our room steward) was right on the ball to tell us if we needed anything at all just to ask and he would take care of it. Our first night was a little rough as the weather was rainy and the ships stabilizers seemed to be working overtime. We both weren’t feeling up to par and decided it was better to just get a good nights sleep and start again the next day.

From this point forward everything just fell into place. The staff was extremely outgoing making sure all of our needs were met with a smile. Our wait staff was the best. Kinga from Hungary and Irena from Lithuania really put this cruise over the top. We actually found dinner to be the best part of the day. Tears were actually shed when it was time to say our goodbyes although we did exchange email addresses.

The only negative thing I could say is that it seemed the hot tubs were filled with children from the time they opened until they closed at night. While I have no problem with children and almost every one of them were well behaved, many of them were dumped at the pool area unsupervised while the parents went off to do something else. In any case that being the only negative made this trip extremely worthwhile. We are already looking forward to making our next booking!!
