The ship is absolutely beautiful.
It took us a couple of days to learn our way around. We had a balcony cabin on
the Upper deck.
Embarkation at Jax Port was a little long, mostly due to the pictures and they
didn't have sail and sign cards for us. We had to get them from the purser's
desk.
The cruise director, Todd, and his staff were great. There were so many planned
activities onboard. Never a dull moment! We especially liked the karaoke with KJ
Foxx in the Mad Hatter's Ball. He is very talented! The shows in the Phantom
Lounge were excellent. One of them was a tribute show to the Beatles.
The itinerary was good. Day one at sea, Cozumel, Costa Maya, another sea day and
Freeport. I enjoyed Cozumel. We spent the day at Chankanaab Park, where my
daughter did the dolphin swim. It was a nice park. They had a restaurant, shops,
a nice beach area and a beautiful lagoon. In Costa Maya we did the Jungle Beach
Break excursion for $39 per person. The beach was nice. They had paddle boats
and and an open bar. There was food available at a reasonable cost and there was
a little gift shop as well. You could also get your hair braided or get a henna
tattoo. You could also rent snorkel equipment for $10 and wave runners for $50
for 30 minutes( I think). They played games with the kids and adults. The men
had a race to see who could drink 3 cups of beer the fastest ( with a straw).
For the ladies, they had to drink beer from a bottle. It was funny. Freeport was
not my favorite stop. Not much to do there. We signed up for the glass bottom
boat. There were alot of waves that day and it was a rough ride! Several people
got sick. Not fun at all! Next time in Freeport, I will stay on the ship.
Food on the ship was good and plentiful! Our waiters Mario and Martina were
great!
The room stewards kept the cabin
clean and we always had ice and fresh towels. The most difficult thing is
keeping up with your beach towels. My daughter left one in my sister's cabin and
her room steward picked it up, but didn't replace it. It took her a couple of
days to get it back.
Debarkation was long, but we were off the ship by 10:30am. If you can carry off
your own bags , you can leave the ship first. We had too many people and too
much luggage to do that this time.
It will be hard to go back to an older ship after sailing on the Miracle. I am
spoiled for life!
