Maria Meza
Age: 35 Set sail on the Pride on March 15, 2003 for the Western Caribbean and had a fabulous time from start to finish! Highly recommend the ship and the itinerary. Traveled w/husband and 4 yr old daughter (who turned 5 on the ship on 3/17!) My daughter had a phenomenal time at Camp Carnival and didn't want to leave it and couldn't wait to go back each day. They were great with her and the kids - lots of fun activities. We went cave tubing in Belize (worth every penny - try it - a great experience!!), did the dolphin excursion on Cozumel - had a great time and got the video for my daughter who was on 3/4's of the tape - she was the only small child in the group so they really focused on her reactions. Did Chichen-Itza in Progresso - long bus ride through poverty but totally with it to experience thousands of years of a culture and civilizations that was wiped out - amazing structures - did not get to climb the main one - was mad about that - saw others later who did - our guide didn't let us so break away from the group!! Key West was basically a walk around town for my husband's sake because I've been there before and had seen all of the 50 t-shirt shops that they have. Had fabulous, picture perfect weather each day - staff was wonderful. Ate at David's - worth every penny - don't forget your suit coat like my husband - had to rent a jacket for $40.00!! Only complaint is that the food on the ship looks incredible, great presentation, but a majority of it had ZERO flavor! How can food that looks so good taste so bland?! David's was terrific though. My husband had a great time w/room service - he would order it in order to have something to eat on his way to the buffets! The gym is great - hubby the cop spent a lot of time working out - nice steam room. Had a nice room (cat. 6a - #1196) Great dining room staff -worth every penny for the lifetime of memories that have. Can't wait to do it again, am already planning another cruise - no problems getting on the ship or getting off. We live in St. Cloud so we didn't have to deal with the airlines - just got on 417 to 528 and on our way to Port Canaveral. Highly recommend this ship and cruise!!!
