CarnivalPride Cruise Review

John

Age: 50
Occupation: Finance
Number of Cruises: 3
Cruise Line: Carnival
Ship: Pride
Sailing Date: February 22nd, 2004
Itinerary: Mexican Riveria

We had a delightful time on this cruise. The ship is beautiful although the interiors take a little getting used to. The cabin with a balcony was well worth the extra money and we really enjoyed having coffee out there every morning.

A couple of observations.

Carnival has been adding two to three ships a year over the past three years and each new ship requires another huge crew. The result is a younger and less experienced staff than on previous cruises. All well trained and eager to please, but overall less polished that the last time we cruised Carnival in 2001.

The wait to get on the ship was over two hours. The line we were in did not move for over an hour. It is a special Carnival cruise terminal but it took too long.

For my money I would choose the Caribbean over the Mexican Rivera, but if you are interested in traveling on the Pacific Coast I would recommend the Pride.
