We had been apprehensive about cruising, had heard stories and read reviews that
provided us with a lot of different opinions.
Fist off, Jeff the cruise director was terrific, took time to explain things and
had a great attitude. He would take time to answer one on one questions when the
format of the discussions didn't seem to explain things. There are a lot of
mysteries your first time.
The ship was clean, we can't remember ever seeing a Hotel room any cleaner. The
rooms were large enough to be very comfortable, the bed was very comfortable and
the lavatory/shower area was clean and large. Remember, you don't really spend a
lot of time in the stateroom with your eyes open.
The food was as good as we have ever had in any restaurant, the servings were
the correct size and the wait staff was super. They provided us with different
entertainment during our evening meals that was the staff doing fun things. We
heard grumbling about that but phooie on them. We also heard complaints about
the food but this brought out the question "what do they eat at home?"
Our only complaint we had was there is way too much smoking, they tried to keep
it to certain areas but with little success, some of the times when we returned
to our room it smelled of cigarette smoke YUCK!!!
Would we go back and do it again? Yes, it was one of the best times of our
lives, a real treat for the money.
