Sailing on the Carnival Pride was my first cruise. Getting on the ship took no
more than 30 min. That was cool. The ship is a good size, and has weird designs.
It also has a lot of art with nudity. The Pride was pretty clean, but was always
very cold! There was never any big lines or crowds, except by the pool. You
could never find a chair to sit in. The pools were also filled with little kids.
My advice is to go up early and save some chairs. The staff is very friendly!
They always said hi to you when you walked by. The service was also good, except
during dinner our table seem to get served a lot later than everyone else. And
the bar servers took forever to get you a simple soda. The food was ok, not
great, just ok. The desserts never had a great taste either. The grill is really
good. The ship sailed pretty smooth, but there were times toward the end where
it would really rock. I got off the ship 5 hours ago, and I still feel like I'm
on the ship. The ports of call were ok, not great though. I really did not enjoy
Mazatlan because of all the venders following you around to try and get you to
buy stuff. I could not go one minute with out them asking me stuff. The Pride's
excursion choices were ok. The activities on the Pride we not that great. There
wasn't much to do. I found myself rather bored on the at sea days. My younger
brother and sister did not like the kid's club. They were really bored. I would
suggest no little kids under 10 years old. The shows were horrible and
incredibly cheesy and lame. There was no talent! Getting off the ship was lame.
My color did not get called for what seemed like hours. I just wanted to get off
the ship!!! I would stay away from Carnival, and also cruising during vacations
because there will be many kids. I would not do this again.
