Overall the ship was OK. The disembarkation process was extremely slow and disorganized. The casio area may as well have been a smoking lounge. Since it was the only place indoors that allowed smoking, it seemed like every smoker on board was there, even if they didn't gamble. I am a former smoker and don't object to other smokers normally, but this was excessive.

The passengers on the ship preferred a different kind of cruise experience. I am a more traditional cruiser and actually enjoy the formal nights. Even though there were over 3000 passengers on board, I only saw one other tuxedo during the two formal nights. There were a couple of suits but the norm seemed to be jeans and sports shirts. Even on casual dining days I felt overdressed. Bathrobes in the casino were a common sight. This must be the new style of cruising in the US. There is nothing wrong with it if that is what people want. I just wish Carnival would state in advance what to expect so I can make an informed decision before spending the money.

The food was OK but overall the variety is slipping. The cost cutting is obvious.

The stateroom was the high point of the trip. The cabin steward was excellent.

They were the normal shows and entertainment. Nothing out of the ordinary.

The boat left New York, went to Puerto Rico, St Thomas & Grand Turks. There were 4 sea days, two down and two back. I cruise to get away from things so the destinations don't mean much to me. I lived on the islands before.
