First, I had read so many negative things about
Carnival, that I was almost afraid to go on there, but I'm "glad" I did.
First, there were no long lines to wait in when we arrived. We were able to go
directly to our room.
We had a guaranteed inside cabin, but had no clue what deck we would wind up on.
To our amazement, we wound up on deck 6, with a large window. Ample
closet/drawer space. Nice bath robes to wear. People had complained about small
toiletries, I seen more than enough for us, and they were much larger than on
other cruise ships I have been on before.
The night shows of the dancers/singers, were very good with wonderful color
costumes being changed every 10 minutes or so.
The food wasn't that bad, and there was plenty to choose from, if you didn't
like a particular kind of food.
The personnel on the ship, from the Captain to the lowest person shining the
wood decks, were very friendly.
People were complaining about photographers being pushy. I did not find that. If
you wanted to have your picture taken, you had to ask them, or get in line. The
only time I seen the photographers pushy, was when you were going to the
different islands, and if you did not want your picture taken, you did not have
to.
People had complained about the children, but for the most part, they were on
deck 11, so you did not see/hear them very much.
We wound up going to Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. I did not
book tours off the ship, but through the internet. You can save money that way.
For Cozumel and Grand Cayman, you had to use a tender to get ashore. There was a
very large tender for Cozumel, that probably holds at least 100 people or more,
and air conditioned.
This was one of the best vacations I have had in my life, meeting people from
all over, and staying in touch.
