The Triumph was beautiful! We have been on 4 Carnival ships and loved them all. I have read several negative feedbacks and I just can't understand it. I wouldn't have changed one thing about our cruise. My suggestion is that you get to the port early. They let you on the ship and even though you can't go to your room right away you can explore and they serve you lunch. We got some lunch and sat out by the pool and just enjoyed watching the people and soaking up every minute of the day. For one week I feel like we were treated like royalty. Our room steward was soooo nice, for that matter everyone was polite, helpful and always smiling. For as long as we are able (with the economy and all) we will take a cruise once a year, and always on Carnival. We have been on the Victory, Inspiration, Valor Triumph and now booked on the Legend next October. We don't think a vacation could ever been any better then what Carnival offers.

I think the food is great. Only problem is I gain about 5 pounds every cruise simply due to over eating. But then again what are vacations for right? I have to admitt we are not real big on fancy dining, we tend to stick to the buffet, pizza, burgers, and the deli is awesome. Love the turkey sandwiches on the country roll. It was fun to try new things off of the buffet. All the food areas are kept very clean and the food was always the right temperature. The food service personel were very nice and constantly cleaning off the tables getting them ready for the next group of people coming through. We had a balcony room and a couple nights we would just get a deli sandwich, go back to our room, siit on the balcony and watch the sunset. Very nice!!

Unbelieveable is the first word that comes to mind. A month before the cruise we got a good deal so we upgraded from a regular balcony roon to a suite. It was very spacious and very clean. Edward seemed to always know when we were out, and every time we came back at night our room was ready for us, little animal and all. Where else can you get your room picked up for you twice a day? Our room was right behind the elevators on the 6th floor. I was a little concerned I might be loud there but I never heard a thing from the hallway. I stuck my shoe in the balcony door at night and it sounded just like waves hitting the shore line. I doubt we will ever do a suite again, definately not because it wasn't wonderful, just because the regular balcony room suites us best. Though I have to admit, the bathtub with the jets in it was a nice touch, and the little lights in the ceiling that you can dim down was nice too. Kind of makes your room glow like candles!

There is plenty to do on board. You can do as little or as much as you like. We went to most of the shows, why not? The singers and dancers are very talented, excellent at what they do. All the other shows are also professional quality. The newlywed not so newlywed game made me laugh so hard I cried. I highly recommend it. It only last 30-45 minuted but it's a lot of fun. The hairy chest contest can be quite entertaining as well. There are many different types of activities offered, take advantage of them

When it comes to excursions we usually book one each cruise and go off on our own at the other ports. Just remember if you book through carnival the ship has to wait for you, but if you go off on your own and don't get back in time you might get left behind. Just be mindful of the time. We do research on the internet on all the ports. Sometimes you can find independent tours that are very good and much cheaper then what the ship offers. My best advice is to take the time to check it all out ahead of time.

I would recommend a cruise vacation to anyone. Dollar for dollar I don't think any other vacation could compare. I have 365 days until the next one, and yes I am counting down! After reading some of the feedback I see where some people have had problems, but it's hard for me to understand that because at of our 4 cruises there is nothing I would change about any of them. Some ports are more crowded then others, some people like crowds, some like solitude. Depending on your likes and dislikes you can find whatever it is you are looking for. My best advice like I said before do some research before you go on your ports of call. Take lots of pictures. Cruising with Carnival is the best. How often do you come home from vacation completely relaxed and rested? The Triumph is a beautiful, clean wonderful ship. You can see the pride in the employees with all they do. Enjoy!!!
