The cruise was a cost efficient way of getting away from it all for a few days. The fog was as thick as I've ever seen it but the size of the ship helped to keep you from getting claustophobic and sea sick.

The food was great in the Dining Room & the service couldn't be better. Request "Zubin" as your waiter, you'll feel like you're a millionaire. Stay away from the buffet's unless you are a sumo power eater.

The stateroom was clean & adequate & the Cabin service even remembered our names. I suggest you shower in the gym to avoid the cramped and messy cabin.

There was plenty to do onboard. Watch out for the casino dealers they shorted me chips twice, and overpaid me once...count your chips! I complained to the casino manager & then to guest services. They sent a bottle of wine to the table and gave me a nice goody bag at the end of the cruise. Other activities were great. The entertainment was terrific although the show girls (oh show girls) never quite returned the love I had for them.

In Saint John don't take the Kayak tour with the ship. Contact Eastern Outdoors - he picked us up at the ship and took us to his place on Dipper Bay where for about $60 per person we Kayaked for ~ 3 hours; a big savings and quite a thrill manuvering through the rocks and lobster boats. If you call in advance I'll bet you can even get Deanna, Bob's wife, to make some Fish Chowder for your lunch. I also heard, from another guest that the St John bus tour was lame.

In Halifax we hoofed it & there was enough to do within walking distance that it was terrific. I found that the shops right outside the ship had better values then the ones down the street.

All in all a terrific way to spend some summer days.
