AMAZING!!!!! I don't need a short paragraph, or a long was simply amazing! My first cruise and it was exceptional!

The food was excellent! There were endless choices for all appetites, at all hours of the day. The presentation of the food was to perfection! The food was cooked to perfection! I was truly pleased with the food.

The stateroom was beautiful! Good size for two people, considering it's a cruise ship. Every time we left our room, when we came back our bed was made, there were clean towels, ANDDDD towel animals! lol. Kind of silly, but that made me smile every time I walked into the room. It showed that they really took the time to make it special.

There were activities planned for every day and itineraries for each days' activities were provided on the previous day. There were some things that we were interested in, others that were not to our interest. But overall, I think they did a great job planning activities that appeal to everyone on board. I loved The Disco, but the first few days were a little weak there. The DJ was great at taking requests. The entertainment was excellent! If you get a chance, check out the deck 3 (lobby deck) with the piano, at night. The man and woman who do cover songs are excellent and entertaining! The entertainment in the Ivanhoe theater is always really good. The comedians are good and the musical/dance shows they put on are pretty good. Big Tex is really funny! Overall, awesome entertainment...could be biased though since I am a dancer myself and I know the kind of hard work that goes into doing shows.

We didn't book an excursion through Carnival...big mistake! We tried to get a cheaper price by booking on site, but man, its not worth the hassle! DON'T SNORKEL IN BELIZE WITH THE COMPANY WITH THE PEOPLE IN YELLOW SHIRTS!!! I don't remember the company, not that I care either, but it was a nightmare. They say they are taking you to a beach, but the beach is just this slab of concrete where they built a shack and sell over-priced food! It was not a beach by ANY means! They told us that rum-punch is included in the price of the excursion, one of the main reasons we chose that company, but you get ONE small cup of rum punch, just one. They market it as if you get unlimited rum-punch, but when you get the first cup, they mark your wristband to show you've gotten it. ALSO....THEY ARE TERRIBLE WITH TIME! They told us they were leaving in 15 minutes, and a half hour later they were just getting us on the boat. We only had so much time in each place and we wasted about an hour of our precious 7 hours there, waiting on these people. They were trying to fill the boat to capacity, and thats understandable so they can make money, but they were not honest about time at all! They said it would take us about 15 minutes to get to the beach and it was a loooong 25 minute ride. Once we were leaving the beach area to go snorkel, they said it would be 3 minutes to the snorkeling area, it took us about 13 minutes to get there. I was tempted to give one of them my watch because I was so ticked off at their lack of time consciousness. By the time we got to the place to snorkel, I didn't even get off the boat. I was so angry. I told them it was because I was sea sick because if I was honest with them, they may have tried to throw me overboard. My boyfriend still went out, but came back raging mad because the dumb woman took them out where the waves were so high that he couldn't even snorkel!! You can't snorkel with 8 foot waves! When we went back to the "beach island" after snorkeling, it was the longest hour and 20 minutes of our trip, waiting to go back to main area to get back on our ship. Best advice, even though it my be more expensive, book your excursion through the cruise line. It really does save a lot of trouble because Carnival only works with reputable companies. Some of those people are just too shady, and I know everyone is trying to make a buck to live, but they lie and say anything to get you on their boat. I'm not putting anyone down, I was born in Jamaica myself, so I understand they have to work extra hard to make a living, but they really could have done better.

It was an excellent experience. The Valor is a floating 5 star hotel. The on board service is exceptional!!!! Truly unmatched! The dining room staff, the people who cleaned our rooms, the bartenders, the people at the front desk, I mean, everyone was so courteous! They smiled when you pass by, greet you with hello, good morning, good afternoon etc! We changed our dinner seating time from 6 to 8:15pm, and there was no hassle at all. I loved every moment of every day that I was on that ship! I didn't really know what to expect, as this was my first cruise, but any and all expectations I may have had were far surpassed. I truly, truly, enjoyed the Carnival Valor. I would recommend it over and over, to everyone I know (and don't know). They really do an exceptional job in making your time on the ship a truly enjoyable and unforgettable experience. I don't know how another cruise will top this one.

Only negative, be prepared to wait a while when going into Belize. Don't hurry and wake up for that day because you will have to wait. There are only so many shuttle boats going from where the ship docked, to Belize, which was a 15 minute boat ride. If you book an excursion in Belize, you will be able to get there earlier than everyone else. That was the ONLY negative.
