The Carnival Victory is an amazing ship. This was my first cruise and i loved it. There was something different to do everyday because we stopped at 6 ports in 7 seven days. The shore exertions cost a lot of money but they were worth it. The ship was a little outdated there were only 3 POOLS on the whole ship for 2,000 people how does that even out. The pools were usually very dirty because there was a lot of people in them at the same time. There are only 5 jacuzzi on Lido deck and some in the Spa. I recommend not going in the pools. The slide was fun but there were always long lines to get on it. You had to wait about 10 minutes for a 30 second ride. The staff was very friendly but sometimes got annoying as they keep walking with drinks and trying to sell them to you. The gym is a great place to be it was one part of the ship was up to date. The machines in the gym were very high tech i was very impressed. The ports of call are great but right when you exit the ship thousands of taxi drivers attack you for a ride. I recommend buying your tours from carnival.

The food was amazing i don't think you can get of the ship hungry. There was food every hour of the day. At the Mediterranean Restaurant on Lido deck there was always a buffet of food ready to be eaten. The restaurants on the ship are beautiful. Sometimes there are long lines at the buffet but its worth waiting at the end because the food taste great. For dinner time you either go in the Pacific Dining Room or Atlantic Dining Room which are basically the same except the name. The food for dinner is amazing. The waitress are very kind and while your eating towards the end of dinner they dance to a song. That was a great experience.

My stateroom was okay i went with my family of four people and we had an ocean view room. My parents slept on a king size bed while me and my brother sept on bunk beds. The cleaning people were always very happy and cleaned your room everyday plus made animals out of towels. Other than that the room was okay it had three closets a safe, TV, 2 electrical outlets, the bathroom was pinkish color and small but it works for 7 days.

There was a lot of on board activities but usually towards night time. There was a show in the Caribbean Lounge everyday at 8 30pm and 10 30pm we went to the 10 30 because we had dinner at 8 15 pm. The shows were amazing the dancers filled the room with lots of excitement. There were also comedians and magicians. Throughout the day there were not that much activities to do. Its better to go out on the island and take a tour than sit on the ship all day because you will probably go to your room and sleep. Everyday in the evening there was bingo i tried it once and didn't win. The ticket cost 10 for one board and 20 for three boards. The highest someone won was 1000 dollars. There are also deck parties one when you sail away from San Juan and one in the middle of the week. The deck parties are fun. Our cruise director was Karl with a K which was a funny guy from england.

Most of the islands you will visit have beautifull white sand beaches and crystal clear waters but other than that every island is very poor. There are little shacks on the side of the road were people live and thats basically the whole island. Also all the islands have mountains. In St Thomas we took the Ultimate Island Experience and it was great our driver took us in a open air pickup around St Thomas. He explained to us everything on the island and at the end of the trip we went to swim in Magens Bay which is absolutely beautiful beach to swim and relax at. Dominica is a very poor island we took the emerald pool tour. Our driver took us around Dominica to botanical gardens and then through the rain forest were we saw how bananas grow on trees. It was a very good tour because they explained everything to us in detail. The emerald pool is a must if visiting Dominica because it is a waterfall with a pool on the bottom were you can swim in. Great once in a life time experience. Barbados was not so poor but all it had was white sand beaches which were amazing and crystal clear waters. Also if you like snorkeling i recommend you book a tour for sea turtle snorkeling which was very fun. You got to swim in the water with the turtles and touch them. St Lucia we took a free day. St Kitts we went on the Beach Extravaganza which is basically a bus taking you to the beach. St Marteen was my favorite island. We took the Sea and See island tour which was a tour of the island on a bus and then you go on a semi submarine and view the amazing coral reef.

The trip was very exciting there were good and bads. Dont expect everything to be good because at the end of the cruise the receipt came from our Sail and Sign card which is like your credit card on the ship and Carnival added $70.00 to every person for tips without letting us know. Thats 280 dollars of tips for four people. Other than that it was a great experience and i will defiantly cruise again. Thank you for your time.
