Just came back from my cruise 2 days ago. I miss everything but the ship. I have been on many other cruises (including carnival) and have never had such a BORING time in my life! The entertainment was HORRIBLE. They had a cast that couldn't sing OR dance. They made guests from the LATE seating go to a show at 6pm because the other show they offered was during dinner. Obviously you weren't missing out on anything anyways. People on our day at sea were hoarding 16 beach chairs at a time, so there was NOWHERE to sit. The cruise fun staff weren't funny or entertaining. Some of them didn't even speak perfect english. This cruise was a cruise for the senior citizens or kids 7 and younger. There was no in between. Carnival is known to be the "fun ship" and quite frankly, on a scale of 1-10, this cruise was a disastrous 2. NEVER EVER GO ON THIS SHIP IF YOU ARE NOT 7 OR YOUNGER OR 55 AND OLDER.

The food was nothing special and was always the same menu. My filet mignon was what my mom calls "brisket". My mom could have made me the exact same dinner they offered. My chicken and steak were hard to cut and my father got sick from one of their lunches. The food was bland and nothing spectacular. All the expectations of the food I had when coming on this cruise were crushed. Every other cruise I've been on had a midnight buffet. On this cruise, after dinner I went back to my room, changed into pajamas and watched CNN.

The stateroom was nice and very nice service and workers. One of the only good parts I have to remember about my cruise was coming in to a clean room with an animal on my bed, however the windows from the outside were FILTHY! you couldn't see anything because nobody cleaned them in what seemed like over a month. The filthy windows included the cafeteria as well.

I have a great memory and only remember 2. A hairy back contest and something that had to do with a hula hoop and juggling. Other than that, they had trivia questions and bingo which obviously isn't something a typical 22 wants to do on their vacation. BORINGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!

Advice for any cruise goer: DO NOT BOOK WITH YOUR CRUISE! THEY RIP YOU OFF SO THEY CAN GET A PROFIT! My family did everything that other guests did for $50-$80 cheaper. The southern caribbean is GORGEOUS and I recommend it to every cruise goer, except NEVER on this ship!

Booked everything with Carnival. Received a 2:30 flight and finally got on the boat at 9:45 (15 minutes before the ship left San Juan). Coming home, what is normally a 3 hour flight became a 7 hour ordeal because it was not a direct flight home. Got into my house at 2am Monday morning when every other guest who lives in the same state as me who booked by themselves got home by 6pm sunday night. The entertainment was non existent and whatever they did offer was boring. There was no one my age to socialize with. People were either too young, too old, or newlyweds. The food was plain and was consistently the same menu. The Islands itself was well worth it, however I will NEVER book another carnival cruise again. Not worth the money, hunger, or lay overs in the airport.
