Our last cruise was on Princess and several people said you don't want to go on Carnival after you have been on Princess. I found this to be totally false. I found the ship to be nicely decorated, the staff was friendly, and the shows were tastefully done. It was immediately apparent that the main objective the cruise directors was to have fun and fun we had. We had booked this cruise because we had a stop every day. However, Dominica was dropped before we went. I liked having the sea day at the beginning of the trip. It gave us a chance to explore the ship and find things before the week was over.

The food in the dining room is awesome! Except for the diet pumpkin pie....DON'T TRY IT!!! The buffet line did have some problems. They only have one buffet line and it is extremely crowded. There are times that there is only pizza available to eat as the other lines are closed. However, the food was always hot.

Our room was larger than our first cruise. Very clean and well taken care of by the room steward. Awesome towel animals. We were always anxious to see what animal we were going to get each night. Bed was extremely comfortable.

Overall there were many activities. Hard to fit in all we wanted to. The main disappointment was the movie theatre by the pool. I had thought they would be showing movies during the day and night. Very few movies were shown on the screen. Mostly it was a replay of various activities on the ship. Good variety of activities for all ages. Loved the family friendly comedy. It was great to be able to go and take my child with me.

DON'T MISS the 5 star catamaran swim with the turtles in Barbados. This was the 2nd time we took this excursion and loved it both times. It is truly amazing. The captain and crew are outstanding and really know how to take care of you. DON"T MISS the St. John day trip to snorkel. It is beautiful. DON'T BOTHER with the St. Kitts railroad. You are packed in like sardines and once you have gone 5 minutes you see the same thing over and over. Definitely not worth the money.

Loved the waterslide on deck. We made great use of this ammenity! I would highly recommend this trip. I would love to have a non-smoking ship or at least non-smoking balconies. This would make the trip fantastic!
