Pros: excellent piano bar with "cam" at the helm!

Cons: Purser staff is downright rude! I was ripped off in casino and on shore excursions.

The Bottom Line Carnival advertises that they make the most money. They don't tell you it is at your expense. STAY AWAY FROM CARNIVAL!!

Recommended: No  I booked 19 of my family members on the 11/19/00 Eastern Caribbean sailing of the Victory. I had 16 shore excursion tickets for an island tour of St. Croix. I went to the shore excursion desk to also inquire about a snorkeling trip. The girl (Lisa on her name tag) recommended the 8:30-noon St. Croix trip that the kids would just love and we would be back in plenty of time for our 1:30 island tour. I dished out for 15 tickets at $62 each. When we got on the boat, they didn't even have masks or fins that would fit the 8 kids!! We then had to wait over an hour for the bus to take us back and we missed the island tour.

When I went to the purser's desk to complain about the above, the called me a "lier" because they didn't have a Lisa at the purser desk. I then explained it said Lisa and dancer under her name on the name tag they laughed and said " oh, she was a fill in. What kind of idiot would listen to a dancer". Me I guess#$$@@$! They would do nothing and I was ripped off on both excursions.

On my anniversary 11/24, I was in the casino late and for my last bet I put a $25 chip on #33. As I was doing so the man running the roulette table said no more bets. I new mine was down because he stepped back and waited for the ball to fall. I had done this dozens of times previously and they took my money when I lost. This time it fell in #33 and the man placed the glass cube on top of my chip on #33. Then a man (pit boss) from over 30 feet away comes running over and disqualifies my bet!??? I was ripped again - this time $900. Even the man running the table agreed that it was not right but he said he was not allowed to question the pit boss. He suggested I speak to the manager in the morning. I did. The manager said he would review the tapes but it would take two weeks from when we got back because they don't have viewing equipment on board.?? I gave him all my info but of course I never have heard a word from them or my $900.

My room wasn't even cleaned 3 of the 7 days of the cruise. I had to roam the halls 3 times to find towels just to shower with! They lost my sons luggage for three days as well.
