I traveled carnival cruise line many years ago and found it to be wonderful and was excited again to take a voyage with them but quite a disappointment i found on this last cruise. The service was excellent as long as the staff spoke some English otherwise they ignored your questions. Our accommodations were average but the the fact we had choppy waters for 2 days didn't make it such a grand trip. As you walked down the halls found a multitude of laundry filled with vomit and left over food trays thrown from some the "pigs styes" in the hallway to view as walked to your stateroom. The entertainment wasn't a great as I had once seen. Quite boring and staff don't rate the shows so those that don't belong in such settings are present and quite an annoyance for everyone in the near surroundings. I've been on many ships before but I must say this way one of the poorest planned out ship designs I have ever encountered .The food was very poor as the buffet lines were long. As for the way the money is handled I really think how they handle their ways of collecting gratitude is quite degrading. They add 30 dollars a day per person onto your credit card and never discussed anything further with you and of course if you wanted to pay cash that is certainly out of the question according to their staff. For a winter cruise there isn't a change in excursions to accommodate weather conditions so they opt to stay at sea which makes everyone sick and plan to increase the ships revenue by isolating passengers just to 2 floors"due to high winds"Will I go back , no will i plan another cruise with carnival? most likely not in comparison with royal Caribbean ( their food was better but not grand) I would opt for Royal Caribbean .
