This isn't my first review of this ship as we have
done her twice before. My last review wasn't positive so I felt compelled to
write again since so many things have changed. I said last year that this ship
was ported in Galveston and forgot about, not the case now. Carnival did a major
over haul this year and the results are evident when you board. The rooms are
totally redone and are nicely appointed, although there is very little draw
space. Two large cabinets so be prepared to hang most of your items. Carpets
were replaced through out. The amateurish entertainment has been replaced with a
top notch dance troup. Food remains good and plentiful. Casino is one of the
better ones at sea. Wheelhouse cafe is just that, a cafeteria, but the pizza is
excellent. For those that have done the Rhapsody out of Galveston, don't compare
the two or you'll be gravely disappointed.
Final comments--This was a great 5 night value from SkyAuction for $250 per person. I would not pay full fare or brochure for this ship. Shop around, find a good deal and go for it. Its a nice winter break.
