I was very pleasantly surprised with the Carnival Celebration.
This was the first cruise for my husband and I both 24 years old. The second cruise for my sister and her hubby my sis being 29 and her hubby being in his early 30's. We had a wonderful time, and found embarkation very smooth. We decided to board the ship very early around 11:30 and enjoyed having drinks by the pool until we were allowed in our rooms. The luggage arrived shortly.
The Rooms: The rooms were very nice, the beds sooo comfortable! The rooms were cleaned twice a day, and the rooms were very spacious.
The Food: The food was delicious. I loved having free room service brought for breakfast. It was a nice way to wake up each day.
The buffet's were very good, all of us loved the pizza. We enjoyed the salad bar as well. We had dinner in the Horizon dining room with Nevana as our server and Augusto as our co-waiter they were very good remembering our names and keeping us laughing. We will always remember the Maitre de Joesph (It's SHHowtime!!) He took the time to come to each table and introduce himself and ask about all of us.
Entertainment: There was always something fun to do on the Celebration but the comedians could use some work. However on the last night at the midnight show at Islands in the Sky we saw John Floyd and he was really funny.
Formal Night: I thought formal night was a lot of fun we really enjoyed the Captain's Cocktail Party where we got atleast 3 or 4 free strong cocktails, and the ships photographer took some great photos of my sister and her husband.
Key West- What a delightful place, would LOVE to go again. We broke off from my sister and her husband for the day, and both couples had a great time. My husband and I took the Conch train tour, very fun and informative! We had lunch at Margaritaville had great food and of course a margarita! We then walked all over the island enjoying the architecture and beautiful water! Of course we had to get our picture at the Southern Most point in the U.S. where there was a small line to wait to get your picture taken.
Nassau- We really loved the ocean in Nassau, so awesome. The color of pool water! Made for great photos, and lots of good sun. One thing we did which I wouldn't recommend was go to the open air market, I would have rather stayed at the beach. We had heard so much about it so we went. I tried to barter with one of the women working there and she told me "If you know what is good for you, turn around and keep walking"! I would rather not be threatned on vacation, I don't know about the rest of you!
Deck Party-We had probably the most fun of the whole ship at the deck party. Great midnight buffet and tons of dancing a conga line, and lots of fun! They should have one of these every night!
Last Day- The waters were rough to say the least. Sick bags were put around the ship. It was a beautiful sunny day, but windy and waters were rough. My husband had very bad seasickness but managed to make it to dinner.
This cruise is a great bang for your buck I wouldn't let other people's negative reviews stop you from going and having the time of your life!! I would cruise Carnvial Celebration tomorrow if I could!
