Our cruise was a three day cruise...Originally its was supposed to be five days but after the "accident" Carnival shortened the itinerary to three days. Boarding was smooth and took about an hour. The terminal was very nice. Once on board we went for a snack at the "Wheelhouse" Grill. The food was very good, especially the pizza! We found our room to be very comfortable and clean....old, but very well maintained. I have to say the beds were especially comfortable. I wish I knew where to buy those sheets!!! My daughter slept on the "Murphy" type bunk on top and said that it was pretty hard. Oh! and careful on those tiny ladders that are used to climb up...they are very unstable. My daughter took a bad fall once, thank goodness no injuries!

The large dining rooms were dated but really nice, and the service was so wonderful. I felt like we were treated like royalty. The entertainment was definitely good if you like the whole Las Vegas revue style show. We enjoyed it.

"Big Tex" the activity/cruise director was very funny but also very brief with words. The whole ship seemed to have a "southern" flair about it, most likely because about 90% of the passengers are from the south (statistically most do not fly in from other far away cities, but drive to the ship from close by cities in the Jacksonville/southern Georgia area) We aren't southern (transplants from So Cal) but we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Very unfortunately we hit really bad weather on our way home and just about everyone on the ship was vomiting. I had to help one poor woman walk to her room she was vomiting so bad in one of the hallway laundry bins. I felt so bad to see everyone so sick. Even the staff looked green. Very sad, but I guess there isn't much one can do when it comes to mother nature. We are trying to think about the first couple of days we had on the ship, and all the fun we had rather than all of the sickness. All in all for the price it's a great deal and a very fun get-a-way.
