I am a very picky person and I want everything to be right, My husband and I was celebrating our 12th year anniversary with 8 other couples (1 couple met us on the boat). We traveled to Port Canaveral by 15 passenger van which was ok...first cruise we were too excited to even tink about the distance. When we arrived around 11:00 we parked the van at a park and ride which was not far from the terminal ($5 a day cant beat that plus a shuttle ride to the port) mind you we had already dropped our luggage off at the port except our carry on bags. Check in was no problem at all straight thru no hassel. We had all documents plus marriage licence which we didn't need. Boarded the ship right away and it was beautiful...I hear a lot of folk complain about the cleanliness of the ship but let me tell you from the time that we were sleep till the time we would eat...they were constantly cleaning the ship, from the tables and walls to the floors and chairs. This was a lovely ship and we had a blast...the beds are so comfortable there were times where we didn't want to get up. 5 stars

The food was good, depending on what you like there is something for everybody and the best part about it, you eat all day long if you want to. Breakfast had everything from cereal and fruit to omelets and all types of breads (my favorite bread baguette bread) which they served every night with dinner and my waiter knew every night that I sat down to the table that it was the type of bread that I wanted. Lunch was great burgers were really good the pizza you have to catch it when its really fresh, one time I got a slice but it looked heated up so I didn't get that anymore, their rotisserie chicken was really good and dont forget they have a Chinese Japanese stir fry station and they cook right in front of you. Remember also they serve drinks all day everyday even on the beach.....

Comfortable was the stateroom and it was just right for me and my hubby. The pillows are so soft and the mattress is thin but very comfortable. You will never think that you was on two twin beds put together. The room was fresh all the time and it cleaned whenever you left the room....I especially liked the turn down service after dinner and dancing we always had a towel animal and chocolates and also an itinerary waiting for us on the bed every night! Toilets (when flushed) makes a gooshing noise cause it sucks everything down with force...a good thing! Staff is on it if you have any problems. I couldn't find my husband because he was on the Lido deck and I didn't feel like walking back up there so I called room service and they came and let me in.

Activities are nice we didn't get to attend a lot of them. We did see the hairy chest contest and the ice sculture carving. They both were wild cause they do involve people from the deck. We did go to one game called "The Newlywed Game" it was funny I was sad that me and hubby didn't get picked to be a contestant they picked a couple that was married 45 years, one was 20 years and another one just got married. I did play a couple trivia games, didn't win but it was fun. Other than that The deck party was a hit, dances all night and ate with friends. A couple clubs we went to they were nice.

Freeport is very nice they dont hound you to buy anything and it is laid back, Nassau I didn't like cause they walk up to you and ask you to buy this and that and their tours are like $20 per person which is not bad but you can find someone else that will do it for $10 pp. Other than that we enjoyed it all.

Just know that we will be going again next year same time but on Carnival Glory. We went in November but the weather was good the whole trip (warm)....My dream came true for taking my first cruise and I loved it. Husband had a rough two nights because of the rocking of the ship and he always thinks of The Titanic for some reason but he was good the rest of the trip. Thanks to our maitre'd and waiters for celebrating our Anniversary on the last night and bringing tears to my eyes. It was a trip to remember! Thanks Carnival
