I was very disappointed with the poor condition of my stateroom. The desk,
cabinets and walls were pretty banged up. The carpet was dirty looking and
smelled musky. We had a window but could hardly see out of it because it was so
dirty on the outside. The food and appearance of the room on the Lido deck was
very unattractive. Especially at night with the green lights on. Way too bright
colored plastic tables and booths. The buffet area was not kept clean nearly
often enough to keep up with the sloppy eaters.
The good news is that the dinners were quite delicious and the wait staff there
very attentive.
Would only recommend this cruise for young adults on a budget, otherwise go on
the Royal Caribbean cruise from Galveston for a lot nicer ship and better ports.
The debarkation was terrible, with a 110 minute wait to clear Immigration. When
I complained the Carnival folks blamed it on Immigration, but I have never had
to wait for over 15 minutes on any other cruise line. This really sucked as
standing a long time caused my back to hurt and removed most of the relaxation
that I had experienced from the 4 days of cruising. Come on Carnival, look how
Disney lets you depart with no stress!!!
