My family just finished a cruise on the Carnival Elation out of Mobile, AL the week of October 18th. When leaving the Calica Port my 6 year old daughter got completed covered with black soot from your stack while sitting by the pool on the aft, 11th deck. When I complained to guest services they said this happens from time to time and there is no control of it. Luckily the soot was not hot and my girl was not injured but it could have easily turned out worse. To my surprise, Carnival representatives treated the matter with little importance. There were no warning signs on this portion of the deck of this hazard. I was disappointed in the lack of response to this incident. We will plan no more cruises with Carnival due to this incident and Carnival's lack of care for the safety of their passengers.
Average
Okay but shower leaked out into the room. Carnival repaired next day. Steward was very good.
Great for the kids, lacking for adults.
Xcaret was great. Sting Ray encounter in Cozumel was fun too.
Medium sized boat with lack of activities for adults. Service was not as good as the Royal Carribean. Skip Carnival and take The Royal.
