I would recommend the ship as a first cruise but if you have been on other ships you may be disappointed...food is ok but other lines are better...the rooms are nice size for 2 people we had ocean view but I don't think 3 or 4 in the room would be comfortable...ports of call along Mexico were ok but again not wonderful really one 2.5 days in 3 ports....service was fine...getting on and off the ship is a bad, took several hours to get off!!! we ran into bad weather coming home last day at sea (13 people in my party) most of us got sick but hey thats not carnivals fault...bring sweater lots of ac including the stateroom which can not be controlled well, also look out when you flush, whoosh the noise can scare you to death...spa was pretty decent...like I said at the begining great as a first cruise but if you have better cruises are out there...also carnival has to add internet access onto its older ships,,,I understand new Spirit has internet access but all the ships should add it...best tip...best food was the room service roast beef sandwich, 1st port check wed check out bullfight (if you are not squimish) 2nd port hit the beach hotel Sids.... good luck enjoy.
