This was our second cruise with Carnival, and this time we took our three
children. What a disappointment for us. When you arrive at the terminal one of
the first things you receive is a sign and sail card. Two of our children we
wanted to just put money towards the card for them. Was told we had to get
aboard and see the Purser's office for this request. The Purser's office was
never able to get this done for us and for 7 days the kids had no use of their
sign and sail cards.
The dining room was a nightmare, the food was cold and if you have an early
sitting your rushed out for the next group to dine. The buffet dining was at
least warm but very limited on choices.
If you do want a good shore excursion don't book with the ship. In Belize we
booked a afternoon snorkel trip, well the morning was cancelled due to weather
yet the afternoon was beautiful. But, once they cancelled the morning the
afternoon was also cancelled. In Progresso we went to the ruins and enjoyed this
trip. Cozumel was our day for shopping.
If traveling with teens. The ship does not have a curfew hour for teens. So we
had kids up all night running hallways and the security did not step in and
handle the teens. Our teens wanted to stay out past 2am and we did not allow
them too. But a curfew would have help us out as parents to enforce this time
with our teens.
Looking forward to another cruise, but not again with Carnival.
My advice choose your cruise wisely and research what you want out of the money
and time your going to give to a cruise line.
