Ship: Carnival Fascination

Itinerary: Bahamas

My husband and 4 yr old daughter were on the Carnival Fascination Feb 6-11, 2010. We had an amazing time on this ship, so amazing that we decided to book a back to back cruise while on board the Fascination. We booked our next cruise for the Carnival Sensation for Feb 11-14, 2010. I would like to tell you a little about both of our experiences on the ships. The Carnival Fascination for us was by far the best vacation we have had, the service was amazing the staff was accommodating, friendly and fun was had by all. The Guest Services staff was very helpful in letting us call Carnival to book our next cruise, our vacation specialist Shaun did all he could do to make sure we were taken care of and the Bar Staff, specifically Pedro and James were amazing servers, which made our vacation incredibly enjoyable. We also must mention camp Carnival on this ship, they were an amazing staff that our daughter loved.

We arrived back in Jacksonville Feb 11th and rented a car and drive to Port Canaveral to catch our next cruise, the Sensation. This cruise from the first day was not nearly the experience we had on the Fascination. The staff was very unfriendly, including the bar staff. There was not one waiter which we felt really wanted to serve us. We are EXTREMELY disappointed in the entire Sensation experience, had we cruised on this ship first we would NOT be returning to a Carnival cruise. When we booked this Sensation cruise, we paid almost $200 more for a 3 day trip than we paid for our 5 day cruise on the Fascination, for the extra money we paid, we DID NOT get our moneys worth, There were just 3 people which we felt were helpful on this entire ship, William at guest services, Andy our steward and Camp Carnival was great.

Although not 5 star restaurant style, very good

Comfortable and cozy, our steward was accommodating
